How to Create User id in Oracle

Now we have the setup of Oracle in our machines, and when we say Oracle DB only user id that comes to our mind is “scott”, but by default in recent oracle edition scott users are not available.

But creating “Scott” user id is quite easy and simple.

Just type the below commands :

SQL> connect

Enter user-name: system
Enter password:
Connected.

SQL> create user scott identified by

User created.

SQL> grant CREATE SESSION, ALTER SESSION, CREATE DATABASE LINK, –

CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW, CREATE PROCEDURE, CREATE PUBLIC SYNONYM, –
CREATE ROLE, CREATE SEQUENCE, CREATE SYNONYM, CREATE TABLE, –
CREATE TRIGGER, CREATE TYPE, CREATE VIEW, UNLIMITED TABLESPACE –
to scott;

Grant succeeded.
